La Contessa has a number of facilities that you can use during your stay. Near the front of the complex is a pool which is heated year around, along with a hot tub. Next to the pool is a building with an exercise room, hospitality room, and indoor raquet ball court. On the east side of the complex there is a tennis/pickleball court. All of these facilities can be accessed with the blue fob also found in the drawer by the kitchen sink.
Biking is a great way to explore Scottsdale. There is an extensive network of bike paths that run for miles, and the entrance to one of the best of these paths is just south of this complex on 92nd Street (right by the cemetery).There are bike to use in the garage for some outdoor exercise. Other outdoor activities in the area include golf and hiking. There are many fine golf courses within a few miles, and great hiking trails through the desert and mountains throughout the Valley. Many great hiking trail heads are within a 15-minute drive and have ample parking.
