South Mountain Park & Preserve
At over 16,000 acres, South Mountain Park and Preserve is one of the largest municipal parks in the country. Start a visit at the South Mountain Environmental Education Center, hike, bike and ride more than 58 miles of trails, or follow the road to the top of the mountain for spectacular views.
You can also find some unexpected attractions like Mystery Castle , or check out some nearby dining after a hike.
Every Sunday, South Mountain observes "Silent Sunday," where the park’s main roadway will be closed to motor vehicle traffic at the one-mile mark into the park from 5 to 10 a.m. on the first, second, third and fifth Sunday; and from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. (park operating hours) on the fourth Sunday. During those times on those days, the park’s roadways are reserved for non-motorized activities such as walking, cycling, jogging, hiking, etc.

The house was beautiful and very accommodating. The only downside was that the pool was very dirty at the beginning because they had just had a massive storm a couple days earlier but when I reached out to them, they sent someone the next day. We were able to enjoy the pool for one day of our two night stay. The management company was quick to respond to any questions and the check in and check out process was super easy. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was amazing! It had something for everyone! We went with our kids and they had a blast in the pool; there is also a playground for kids too! A pool table for the adults and at night plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the amazing Arizona weather! The house is so clean and very well decorated and plenty of rooms for everyone! Definitely would love to come back!

Perfect house for our trip to Phoenix! Our large group stayed in dingy hotel rooms the first two nights of our stay, this house was a breath of fresh air!! Would definitely stay again.

We spent our Thanksgiving 2021 at the property. The house was clean, the layout was great and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The backyard had several spaces for everyone to enjoy, from pool, play area to grilling and dining. The room with the pool table was a great place to hang out. Dining and shopping options are only 5 minutes away. The sign in / sign out screen was very convenient. I certainly do recommend as well as would visit again. Thank you for considering everything that your quests may need!
Our family was very pleased with our stay. It was an added bonus that the pool had a protective enclosure which was not pictured on the web site and so that was an added bonus! The residence was clean and comfortable and we would stay again. It would have been nice to have the pool heated as it was chilly and rainy.
